A Thousand Days at Tinakilly Country House Hotel

Article text

The sun shone, hundreds of people came, cars were double parked up and down the wide avenue - it was a glorious day and everyone was really happy.

So, thank you for your support. Whether you were able to come to join me on May 10, or if you dropped in later in the week and signed the comments book, or if you phoned, emailed or sent me a card in the post, I really appreciate your effort and also your encouragement.

There is a lovely vibe, and lots of people came from all four corners and beyond. Tinakilly Country House Hotel is really pleased with this new venture, so much so that they didn't want me to take them down at all. As a result, the show goes on.

I have of course taken down the paintings that were sold -fifteen in all (plus ten of the giclée prints). The process of delivery has already begun. I managed to fill these empty spaces with more paintings, and all of the sixty or so images can be seen on my website.

While selling lots of paintings is good (and necessary), seeing you all turning up, is always the best bit for me.

I have updated my website and inserted a section with videos from the exhibition. Thanks to Kate (Phelan) Buckley there is a recording of both Pat Kenny's and my own speech on video. There is also a series of still photographs such as me in a state of collape at the end of the longest day. If you have any you'd like to add to this collection, please email me them to me and I will post them on this website

I also added a 'virtual tour' of the exhibition, and that's available here too...

So go on, do have a look, and tell me what you think
and again, many thanks for your presence in my life,
