Anyway its a great idea and I always love to enter competions. Your paintings are fresh and vibrant.

I particularly like your murrough series of 5 and six mile point views. This is a part of the world very dear to me since I have lived here for almost 20 years and one of the reasons that brought me here in the first place. I first chanced upon clonmannon when walking from wicklow one winter afternoon and was led ultimately to Hunters Hotel for welcome refreshments through the estate avenues from the beach...

Since then I walk the Murrough from Killoughter or 5 mile as often as I can and enjoy the soul filling lightness of the views of wicklow head or the sugarloaf over the flatness of the marshes and fields. No doubt the natural beauty of the area are a source of inspiration and calm for you as you paint. I particularly love clear bright days when the air is still however the sea in all weathers ensures there is no such thing as a dull day and living in such a place and taking advantage of it ensures there are no dull days if we use it.
