My favourite one is the Mayo Bog... There is a story as my French boyfriend Loic is a huge fan of bogs, and there are none in France - I could just see ourselves looking at your Mayo Bog everyday with a huge smile on our faces.

I sent him a piece of turf for his last birthday, tied with a green ribbon for Ireland and wrapped inside a shoe box... it graces our wooden mantle piece now and has pride of place, and it came from a bog in Mayo...

Brian Lally got it for me on his way down to visit his wife's relatives during last Summer, I have the picture of the Bog in question but your painting is just beautiful and evokes for me the image I have of the bog. It is this piece of Mayo Bog in a little corner of the West of France, and there is a lot of love attached to it!

I hope that my pitch wins me this amazing picture!!! Otherwise I may have to just start playing the Lotto to win it!!
