Seascapes

I have always loved to paint the sea, and in the past, I was drawn to rock pools and rugged coastlines, attracted by the sharp, angular, unadorned shapes. Learning to sail in 2018 adds a new dimension to my experience of the water.  I now enjoy sailing throughout the year as a member of Bray Sailing Club    Negotiating Bray's challenging harbour mouth in my sturdy Hansa Liberty fills me equally with joy and terror . . .   Perhaps I am too close to its steep walls, or I suddenly see a fishing line stretching out ahead, or a wild child about to leap off the pier to splash in the sea as I pass.
